CX4 Storm steel guide rod assembly
High quality replacement for OEM plastic guide rod. Relatively easy replacement. OEM buffer is a twist and lock attachment to the plastic rod and can be confusing on trying to remove. Be careful as the spring is under pressure and will launch off the rod if you are not holding the spring. I highly suggest this replacement on the CX4. Also, if you have not replace the OEM charging handle get one from JSARMSCO and replace it at the same time. Very easy to do and a much better handle. YouTube has some good videos regarding the CX4 disassembly. Suggest you watch one in advance.

Sturdy Upgrade!
I've always heard about how the guide rod assembly was a composite material and prone to breaking. I pre-ordered this upgrade kit and just got done installing it a few minutes ago. The stock CX4 guide rod is what I can compare to a Lego piece, it's plastic and flexible. I haven't had it break yet but I wanted to get ahead of that common issue. The JSARMSCO upgrade is sturdy as it comes being a steel pin and all. I'll email photographs to JSARMSCO of the stock guide rod next to the upgrade kit. Definitely a key upgrade for my CX4!
