So I ordered the barrel shroud and was very impressed when it arrived. It was wrapped and packed with care. The machining and quality is off the charts. When I affixed it to the rifle, I had mixed feelings because it looks great but it also changes the balance of the rifle to the front. I wasn’t sure how I felt about it, but decided I would take it to the range and try it out before making up my mind. My experience at the range was great. The CX4 doesn’t have a ton of muzzle rise to begin with, but the barrel shroud virtually eliminates any muzzle rise when firing. I was able to keep all 35 of my shots in the 9 ring at 7 yards, coming from a low ready for 2-4 shot bursts. This was shooting both eyes open with a green laser. While this wasn’t long-range match shooting, it’s exactly what I’m looking for with this rifle. So this barrel shroud is a keeper!

Really happy with my purchase, can’t recommend it enough over the one offered by Beretta. I was a little hesitant to purchase this item, mainly since it’s more about style than function, but I feel this gives the weapon a significant upgrade. Yes, it’ll still fit in the original CX4 hard case (unlike the Beretta version) and shroud fit perfectly and felt solid after a few hundred rounds. This was my first experience with JS Arms and I was thoroughly impressed, between the quality of the product, the crazy fast shipping, and cost.

A perfect fit. Installs easily. Really enhances the look of the carbine. You can tell that whomever designed this shroud cared about the result.
