You will not be able to re-attach the golden gate rear sight after installing this, I suggest a scope, red dot or flip up sights or both.
Replaces injection molded plastic "Weaver" rail with 6061 Aluminum Picatinny rail.
Remove the original factory quick-disconnect clamp from the factory top fore grip. Re-use the receiver shroud installation plates and provided screws, press in nut and screw where clamp used to be.

This rail is absolutely worth the money. It is really nice and well made. Great upgrade for your hi-point carbine. If your on the fence about buying it. I say go for it you will not be disappointed. It is also longer then the factory rail that comes on the hi-point carbines which is a plus.
